How to request deletion

Send an email from the account's registered phone number or recovery email to support@miru.app.
Use the subject Delete my Miru account.
Include your Miru phone number so we can match the account.

We confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. You will receive a written confirmation when it is done.

What gets deleted

Miru does not collect location, your device contact book (only numbers you type), payment information, or advertising identifiers. There is nothing else to delete.

Partial deletion

If you only want specific data removed (for example your message history) rather than your whole account, mention it in the same email. On-device data can be cleared without contacting us by uninstalling the app.

Account deletion vs. uninstalling

Uninstalling the Miru app removes device-local caches but does not delete your server-side account. To delete the server-side account, email support@miru.app as above.

Once your account is deleted, your friends will no longer be able to message you, and prior chat threads will be anonymized on their side.
